There's nothing like checking out the Salem Witch Museum with Halloween only a few days away. Buried under four hundred years of witchcraft are the remains of dungeons, creepy and eerily cold, that used to house and torture the accused.
It was pretty amazing to find out that there was a law called the "Spectral Evidence", which allowed the notion that the possibilities that the devil and his minions were powerful enough to send their spirits, or specters, to pure and religious people. Spectral Evidence was not a deciding factor in England for sentencing, but was recognized as evidence. However, in New England, over a hundred people were put to death as "witches". Town members could accuse each other of having the evil spirit and automatically be put on trial during these absolutely crazy times. Fast forward to today, and you will still see graveyards in an old town once ashamed of its past that it currently embraces with theater reenactments and tours.
Check out Wass as he rocks the "Eek" and looks for some witches in Salem!
